Saturday, June 20, 2015 - From an excellent looking bottle with a 1.5 cm fill, this wine had a yellow/gold center and clear rims. The nose was off at first showing some ethyl acetate and it stayed funky for a while. Fortunately, the nose improved noticeably after 3 hours of air and was even better after 5 hours. It showed apples, lemons, almond paste, and white stone.

In the mouth, this wine was thin and nasty when first poured. I was thinking it might be a bad bottle. It was a bit too woody after 1 hour. Amazingly, it was pretty darn good after 3 hours in a decanter. It had great richness, crisp acidity, and great length. The balance was impressive other than being a touch "steely".

This was still not the best bottle I have had but it was still quite good.
