90 Points

Wednesday, January 14, 2009 - Popped and poured and then consumed over 5 hours. Medium-bodied wine that is light to medium ruby in color. On the nose, cherries, light earthiness/forest floor, and a touch of wood. On the palate, candied cherries and x-mas spices on the very long 30-40 second finish. The balance, structure, and fruit were decent, but there was a tartness on the palate that was a bit too prominent right now. Let's see if this one settles down with another year or two in the bottle.
