Sunday, September 26, 2010 - Upon opening nose was complex with rich strawberries. After two hour decant nose faded to cherries and smoke. Tannins have thinned considerably but alcohol and acidity still strong which makes the wine slightly unbalanced in the mouth. Tart cherries fill-in to the back of the tongue. I did not pick up on the abundance of fruit mentioned by other and the fruit seemed to have faded in this bottle. Seemed slightly past peak with a few years of life.
