Sunday, February 3, 2013 - A far different taste experience from the last bottle, this was focused and zippy on the nose but broad and rich on the palate. While maintaining vivacious acidity and lively lemon citrus flavors, this bottle started to show a more mature range of ripe apple, peach, and honey. Still lacking enough toasty smells, this is nonethelsss more full and balanced than the prior bottle. If the purpose of non-vintage Champagne is to maintain a consistent style then the Clicquot folks are doing it wrong; however this bottle more convincingly justifies the premium price tag compared with its predecessor.
