Gail purchased this (and the 2005 vintage) for a Karen MacNeil meal: Pear-Cheese Strata. This was served for the dinner, most of the 2005 was used with the recipe. This had a lighter aroma, of pears and apples, than the 2005. Taste was crisp and fruity with a tinge of sweetness; ok body to go with the custard flavors in the Strata. The fruit taste paired nicely with the Strata's nutty flavored Gouda cheese and caramelized pears.
