Friday, August 28, 2009 - Oak monster. This is a wine that's designed to impress. Lots of oak on the nose, dark purple hues. Dark berries and smooth tannins on the palate. It doesn't deliver quite the boldness in the mouth that the nose promises, and the finish is a little disappointing. In the end the wine is a little unidimensional. This may change with time.
