Tuesday, April 6, 2010 - A surprisingly big wine. It looks dark in the glass, but the edges are light as if it will be light-bodied or even watery. However, when it first hits your palate it is far from watery. A reasonably big texture, but with bright, piercing berry fruit. The first few sips (no decanting) were a bit harsh, but with some air it tasted like bluberry "pop rocks" bursting in your mouth. The nose altermated sweet oak and brambles. Just a really nice wine. I agree with previous raters who have said that it would improve with extended aging and or decanting. I'd love to find a few more bottles and find out. However, I disagree with the rater who said its better than Clio, but still a very excellent wine.
