Friday, September 20, 2013 - This is a stunning wine!
Nose is intense and complex with rich ripe plum and blackberry fruit, beef blood, earthy tones and espresso beans, sweet spice and new oak which is still evident. Also the hot tiles Graves tell-tale aroma as well as cedar and Cabernet greenness.
With the first sip in my mouth I was thinking that this wine has the silkiest tannins I have ever met in a wine, yet when the liquid goes down a slight astringency is felt on the gums. Still perfect. Powerful yet round, complex and long this is a fabulous wine. It's not the most typical Bordeaux as oak and ripe fruit are more than abundant but still it has typical elements and in any case it is a fabulous wine!
