Sunday, March 1, 2015 - Decanted 1 1/2 hours. Nose still a little shy at first but then opens a little to show balsamic notes(eucalyptus?) , with maybe a little meatiness, tobacco and cedar, fruit is present, mixing between bright red cherries and dark plums. Slightly sweet entrance, fine tannins coating all the mouth, more cherries on the palate, vanilla, coffee and dark chocolate supporting the fruit, powerful but with grace. More to come from this wine, really looking forward to the evolution over the next few years.
