Saturday, January 6, 2007 - Tried another bottle as our New Year's bottle was corked. Opened and decanted for 2 hours prior to dinner.A bit slow to open and a bit tannic to start, really started to sing with a ribeye off the grill. Muted nose of lead pencil and black fruit. Smooth tannins, tastes of dark cherries, graphite and anise. Continues to be a solid wine.
