95 Points

Tuesday, November 25, 2014 - Deep crimson appearance, with an intoxicating bouquet that stops you in your tracks. Ripe, mature blackberry, cherry, cassis, and chocolate aromas are laced with back notes of fresh thyme, tarragon, new leather, and wintergreen. The palate is rich, decadent, and unctuously seductive, unfurling waves of layers, textures, and flavors that feature a core of black fruit, sultry spices, sweet tannin, and an underlying element of umami. This has glorious length, balance, and intensity. Gains tremendous traction on the long, medicinal finish. A beautiful, beautiful wine.
