Monday, January 23, 2012 - pretty nice, incredibly balanced given the 16.2% alcohol... initially very little on the nose, took a little time to open up. Nice mix of dark and red brambly fruits, raspberry, blackberry, little bit of pepper (not nearly as much pepper as an 05 I had a year ago though). Pleasantly surprised as I thought it may have ended up being a little too hot or over ripe, but not at all.
