Monday, February 11, 2013 - Amazing showing for this wine. The nose is truly kaleidoscopic -- flowers, perfume, fennel, dark cherry, musk, saddle, pixie stick, rocks, curry. Every time you back to the well it's something else. On the palate -- dark red berry, some grape stem, licorice, raspberry preserves. Finishes just a bit dry, but just a subtle distraction. Threw no sediment. This is entering a real nice phase right now. I'd be inclined to let the rest of my bottles go another 5-10 years and see what happens. I see why this is served after the Grand Crus.
