Tuesday, November 3, 2009 - What an outstanding wine. Still fresh with plenty of fruit I was guessing it to be a wine that was 15 years younger. The nose was incredibley complex; classic Margaux "perfume" with a myriad of undertones that ranged from forest floor to mint and a bit of plum. Two others at the table picked up notes of licorice (though I must confess, I did not). The mouthfeel was feminine, elegant and sexy. Not a powerhouse, but not lacking anything either. The finish was long and smooth. This wine was beautifully balanced. I keep coming back to its' aromatics which were riveting. Highly recommended and at peak drinking.
