Saturday, November 26, 2011 - From a vhs shoulder bottle, this wine looked strong with a deep red center and some orange at the rim. The high- intensity nose was captivating with black fruit, violets, minerals, a hint of led pencil.

In the mouth, this wine was soft and lush at first. Over the course of 3 hours, it developed a firm spine that was always fully balanced by lush, round fruit. This wine had super length and tons of class.

It was great to see this wine perform so well after an underwhelming magnum this spring.
