This wine sheds those unwanted tendencies if you have the patience or time to let it hit air before drinking, lots of it. I have to tell you, this little gem did start out as the wooded monster many talk about, it also had disjointed components. This all seemed to meld as it evolved in the decanter, yum. All I can say is the QC red kicks ass. In addition to the tons of dark fruit, I had a spice that reminded me of cinnamon that led to the tannins, similar in consistency to tea. The crescendo of flavors in the mouth lingered after the wine was gone. Bad news, down to my last couple, good news, the '07 is soon to be released.
