Monday, February 4, 2013 - Warm spices, dark berries and smoke. Lots of oak on the nose...lots. I loved this wine the first time I tried it, but my reaction is certainly more toned down now. My sensitivity to oak is certainly elevated now compared to before, but this was just a big termite wine. The fruit on the palate was rich and dense but the toasty flavors really came to the forefront.
