Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - One to drink while you're waiting for your '04's to settle down. Approachable with great aromatics. Spice, dried herbs, slightly floral with dried cherry, cranberry, raspberry bush. Structure is on the leaner side with firm acidity. Overall balanced and definitely not for the long haul. Fleshes out after a bit in decanter. The '06 Langhe Nebbiolo had before this was firmer and overall more of a blockbuster. Didn't quite hold up to braised caribou shanks.
