Friday, March 8, 2013 - Not exactly shut down, but tightly coiled. Bouquet of black cherry and pencil shavings. Dense but not heavy on the palate. Medium high acidity, big tannins, intense concentration of dark fruit, strong minerality. Finishes long with menthol carrying through. Powerful warmer year Loire Cab Franc, I don't see why this shouldn't benefit from another 5+ years. Muscular, yet refined and elegant.
