Sunday, January 18, 2015 - (Decanted for one hour.) I last had this wine over a year ago. Why did I wait so long? It remains one of my favorite ACV reserve cabernets and is currently firing on all cylinders: a gorgeous dark color, a rich flavor profile of ripe dark fruits, chocolate, herbs and soil, and an ultra-smooth long finish. Yes, it is big in its Californian way; but it is also very stylish and complex. It is not fading at all and I suspect another ten years (at least) of development ahead. And it is a perfect accompaniment to rare beef! Who could ask for anything more? 96 points.
