92 Points

Friday, January 30, 2009 - Opaque (black) robe. Very intense nose of assorted black fruits (currants, cherries and berries), vanilla and cardamom. Full-bodied on the palate, with low acidity, big ripe tannins, medium oak and ripe black fruit flavors which mirror the nose. The middle palate is full and the finish is long. This will not be mistaken for Bordeaux, but it is a crowd-pleaser and a wine which typifies how nice Napa Cabernet can be. Short-term cellaring will likely be rewarded. Thereafter, the wine has the structure to drink nicely for at least a decade. Drink 1/11-12/21.
