Thursday, May 8, 2008 - Nose of blackberry, sweet oak, mocha, and maybe a little toast. Palate is smooth and soft, subtle tannins but well structured, with the fruit up front and some earth in the background. Mid palate a bit hollow, and finish is rather short and less complex than the nose and palate-- a bit disappointing. However, this is a well balanced and well structured wine for the price, and I'm really at a loss for how it will age. Easy drinking and enjoyable.
