88 Points

Saturday, December 27, 2008 - It took the wine 45 minutes in the decanter to open up. The wine had a fruity nose, dominated by dark berries (particularly blackberry, maybe fig and blueberry), with a subtle plastic component. The palate was dominated by dark fruit, with blackberry, blueberry, maybe fig, liquorice and sweet, smooth tannins. The wine was very smooth and balanced. The finish, however, was rather short.

Our guests and we liked this fruity, balanced, easy-drinking wine. The finish was a little disappointing compared to the overall quality and the wine was lacking depth, but it was simply delicious and delivered great value. I will definitely by this wine again. (88-89)
