Thursday, February 14, 2013 - Very enjoyable wine. My score may be inflated by 1-2 points because of the excellent food pairing (smoked lamb chops). Nevertheless, once this wine opened up (about 30 minutes), this wine really shone. Personally, I think this wine is drinking at its peak right now. I suppose it could cellar for a while longer, but I found the tannins relatively mild. Great black fruit on the nose with distinctive mocha and tobacco notes on the mid-palate, and a nice finish.
