Thursday, December 24, 2009 - Decanted some immediately. Lipid with rich red color. First smell: old leather, predictably closed nose. First taste, full with good tannins. Opened up after an hour to be voluptuous and flavor rich, berries (especially blue) and cassis.

Let it sit for a couple hours. Vanilla, oak and delecate spices in the glass. Stirred it and got a whiff of grass hay.

Lingering taste, with a good finish.Complex wine with a bit of sedement. I would estimate it has a few years left.
