Sunday, August 30, 2009 - From 375ml. Youthful, deep crimson color. Nose of cassis and currants, but consisting of mainly non-fruit flavors of cedar, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted coffee and scorched earth. Palate with fine soft tannins, still quite prominent. Plenty of crushed berries, currants on and cassis on the palate, with a seamless transition into a finish of tar, coffee, cigar box, and scorched earth. Complex,balanced, and great concentration w/o being heavy, this is appears to be in the beginning of its drinking window. Next bottle in 2-3 years, should last another 10-15yrs with ease.
