Wednesday, October 14, 2009 - Thought I would check up on one of these. Medium deep purple. Nose of charcoal, dark fruits, leather and olive, somewhat reticent. Good dark berry taste on the palate, reasonably well balanced, blackberry liqueur, coffee, cedar and some spice. Really nice as it sits on the mid-palate, with a decent 20+ second finish. Oak in the background. Lets see if it holds up over the hours. Update: does not hold up very well. Gets less interesting in the glass.
