Tuesday, June 19, 2012 - Sour aromas at first. Then, tart green apple, dusty, toasty oak. Hint of sulfur. Then notes of fresh green herbs, cream and some gravel. On the palate, it enters lush and creamy feeling. Wonderful weight. Elegantly structured. Vanilla custard with flavors of lemon meringue, roasted pineapple, and some notes of mango. Lush tropical fruit is present and a nice, buttery creamy quality underlying. There is some toasty oak, but it's very subtle standing up to the fresh, ripe tropical fruit notes. Tart green apple comes on the finish with stronger oak influence. Tasty!
