There is definitely some oak on the nose of this but in my opinion it is not overpowering and really only prevalent on the nose and not so much on the flavors, which show nice acidity with pear and granny smith apple flavors and a creamy, but not buttery, texture and finish. Quite good all around and for $19 at Costco, not a bad price either. I'll probably pick up a couple more bottles the next time I am there.
