Tuesday, June 11, 2013 - Confrerie Chapitre De Vigne En Fleur (The French Table Bistro - Vancouver, BC): Quite tight on the nose at present showing some spicy black pepper spice and dilute black cherry fruit. Much more open and expressive on the palate, displaying funky black cherry fruit and black pepper spice, along with some mint leaves, violet, a touch of prunes, and black currants. Quite minty on the finish which almost showed a bit leafy. This really was a case of polar opposites, with the nose shut down and hiding and the palate coming out to play and showing it's stuff. Could use a few years. Very good
