Monday, April 28, 2008 - Suprisingly open, fruit forward nose with aromas of black cherry, raspberry, cola, clove and some vanilla notes. Medium bodied, more herbal in the mouth. There is a slight drying sensation from mid-palate thru the finish which shows moderate length and citrusy. Nice but at this point not as good as the '02-'05 vintages. Maybe the palate will open with time?
