Saturday, August 1, 2015 - Surprise I must admit, and finally a decent bottle of Chile red Bdx. Wanna be…
Gave this a good six hours decant, and I believe that was a good thing.
Nose with loads of generous fruit, cassis, black currant and dark berries, some vanilla and oak spices, touch of leather and sweet tobacco leafs, with oak showing, without being too much.
Palate shows quite balanced smooth and silky fruit, touch of wood but not intrusive, black currants and blackberries, tobacco leafs and touch of herbs, generous and fruit driven, quite low acidity, but still not jammy or extracted.
Rather mature, but I will keep my last bottle for a few years and see what happens.
