Wednesday, March 26, 2014 - The '06 Giuseppe & Luisa is everything it intended to be. A Helen Turley-styled zin -- a high octane bruiser that makes no apologies. The alcohol is a high 16.4% and there's no mistaking it. On the palate it was a sweet, ripe, rich raspberry syrup with rum-soaked cherries. But, for all its outlandishness, it paired surprisingly well with a similarly rich and unapologetic, thick cut bacon steak sandwich.
