Friday, February 19, 2010 - Decanted 2 hours. Consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Initially a little tight, needed a good swirl to reveal red fruit with black fruit undertones. Opened up a bit later with lavender, anise, and cedar. Palate: Medium bodied with nice tannins, black cherry and licorice. Finish: Lengthy but not extraordinary. Overall a wine that evolved nicely over the 4 hour drinking period, showing several different characteristics but none were outstanding.
