Saturday, May 9, 2015 - Very dark colour.
Extremely deep fragrance, black fruits, plums, blackberries, mulberry and tobacco leaf. Some sweet zesty sherbet brightness.
Lush velvety palate, very strong primary fruit flavours, almost overwhelming, but there is also balance and refinement. Blackberries, plums and mulberry again with the mulberry leaf complexity. Fruit sweet but with a darker lightly spicy side lurking within. Very impressive, especially given its age, on this evidence it has another decade easily.
