92 Points

Thursday, June 20, 2013 - Poured into decanter and drank over 3h. Perfect, / mint cork. Dark garnet with transparent rim. Beautiful immediately upon opening, sous bois, dark and red fruit, some coffee. Sweet on the attack but then precisely drawn and more serious on the mid palate. Medium plus body. Later fine tannins appear and also the toasted oak become a bit too dominant. Medium to long finish, Looks like a great wine in the making but needs another 2-3 years to further integrate the oak. Try the 96 and particularly 95 Pape Clement while waiting for this to further develop. 92+
