Friday, October 09, 2009 - Good concentration with classic lead pencil and cassis. Touch of bitter on the end. I tasted this under fairly uncontrolled circumstances (too cold and I'm not sure how much aeration was done), so I'm not including a score, although I noted it as a 91 during the event.
I tasted 4 wines at the same time and ranked them in the following order from favorite to least favorite: 1994 Caymus Special Select, 1995 Haut Brion, 2000 Lynch Bages, and 2000 Leoville Las Cases. The Bordeaux wines clearly were still too early to drink.
