Monday, March 27, 2006 - A very fine wine with a lot of potential. Tasted with the sassicaia 2000.
The LB has the most potential and at the moment it was still a bit tight. Good chance that the LB will surpass the Sas in 5 years. for now: The sass wins.

A great wine it is, but (and this is very personal) the bordeaux (French) nose is too much for me. Me and my wife call a noose with too much cream and wet towels for our taste a French nose. So in this flight served blind, it was not easy to pick the Sassicaia...

very jammy fruit, tannins a bit dry and not integrated yet. nice acids to back the fruit up (or the other way around?) Jummy wine.. very nice use of wood: not too much and very well integrated in the whole. also"lots to taste.. (just don't sniff too uch :-) )
