Monday, February 14, 2011 - Mid-dark garnet color; earth, tobacco, terroir nose, with Cabernet spice emerging with more air; closed at first; opened with decanting and swirling; balanced on the palate; ripe fruit; round; decent tannins so life left; long smooth finish. Valentine's dinner with pan-fried filet mignon and mushroom sauce.
