Tuesday, September 29, 2015 - At Union Square Cafe w/Greg P. Decanted for about 30 minutes, drank over 90 minutes. Drank next to a '97 Spottswoode
Dark color, no signs of age. Nose is dark berries, leather, coffee grounds. Palate is classic Paullac/Bdx...great soft core of fruit. Red and dark fruits, earth, floral. Tannins are soft and integrated. Lynch Bages is a classic Bordeaux wine, this from a stellar vintage. Held togther beautifully for a 15 year old wine, elegant and still powerful. Seems to be moving into its prime drinking window. My guess is it will hold at this level for another 7-10 years
