Thursday, October 6, 2005 - Brought to Geneva restaurant for Karen's b-day dinner. We opened with Veuve --always a crowd favorite! Her dad was late to dinner, however we saved him a glass!
The Gruaud was steady, full of wonderful St Julian flavors of damp earth and forest. I just love the profile of that appelation! We smacked our lips and enjoyed the bottle--saving a glass for the owner of the restaurant. Still many years left for this wine, optimum drinking say 2007-2015.
