Thursday, April 19, 2012 - I had experienced a few less than spectacular Phelps wines recently (but still very good), so opening this from the cellargave me some pause. Opened 3 hours before. tasted and it was delicious. We will see. Parker just took it 99 from 95, but is it worth it. I disagreed with a recent Backus second review, but this was right on. Maybe not 99 but really really good. Great length across the palate, depth, and still the right tannins. Dark fruit was there and back of the throat was amazing. Well done, well done, well done!!!
