Saturday, July 28, 2007 - Surprisingly ripe, supple, rounded, and full of fruit for this wine given the vintage and the relatively young age. Cedar and fruit on the nose. A bit of vanilla on the attack, followed by blackberry, kirsch, hints of licorice. Soft, velvety mouthfeel. Tannins seem almost too soft and well-integrated for the age, but it did not keep this from being incredibly tasty. Given the evolution, I'd say to consume this over the next 3-4 years.
