Likes this wine:

Saturday, May 23, 2015 - Bought off the shelf from a sleepy wine shoppe in a small town in Virginia. Seemed well preserved, bottle in good condition. The wine was utterly lovely. Needed a few hours of air, which we gave it, checking in periodically. Beautiful aromatics that evolved over the course of the night, showing at first mostly dark rich fruit that felt new-world in tone, but took on more complex aromas too, showing animale, hard spices, and salty rocks. Balanced with good acidity, harmonious, the tannins are fine and the wine is well structured. Delicious wine, super long and complex, a wine that justifies the hype over producer, and indicates the potential of this 1er cru.
