Sunday, May 4, 2014 - With grilled strip steak, asparagus, bread.
Cork broke during opening, decanted through filter. Very little sediment.
Ruby, nice color to the rim. Good nose (typical zin, some light black pepper).
Dry, medium body, fruit still present, good depth, tannin in the middle but very smooth, moderate length, not flabby. On the end of the finish I got a touch of very dark chocolate. A Zin encroaching on Cab turf while keeping its heritage. Unfortunately my last bottle.
