Sunday, January 23, 2011 - We always enjoy Silver and this is the last of our 2007. We poured it for a dinner of oysters and crab cakes (with whilte ports) - specifically to go with the grilled oysters with a lemon dill sauce - awesome. You can taste the Meyer Lemons that grow in the vineyard and it's crisp, clean chardonnay characteristics with good acidity and mineral. It is so different from the oaked chardonnay from the same vineyard that you can hardly believe they are the same grapes.
