Wednesday, July 22, 2009 - Deep gold color, clear. Interesting nose with hints of old lemon/verbena, sweet fruit. Slightly old flavors, but pretty nice for a 19 year old wine. I wish I had this in a 750. 2 bottles to go.
Drank this with milk poached asparagus, topped with a fried egg, some grated pecorino, and a couple of grates of summer black truffle. Quandary of a pairing, but worked pretty well.
