Monday, May 5, 2014 - Very stinky nose with coffee on opening which blew off completely to reveal a classic concentrated Burgundy Pinot: woody, stemmy, cherry and coffee. Beautiful acidity with red berries, coffee, toast and resin. There is still a bit of austerity but this is really singing now. A big Pinot style, perhaps more Sonoma Coast in style but what a remarkable effort for what is not considered to be a great vintage.
