Friday, January 6, 2012 - Last bottle noted was a year ago. This wine is still in great nick (as expressed previously). Bright medium light red, just a slight bricking at the rim. Strong notes of liquorice on the nose with some cherries too - demands to be tasted! Lots of herby fruity notes on the palate - the cherries are there, with raspberries too. Acidity is just a little more elevated than the last bottle I tasted, and belies this wines age more than the very slight bricking. I wish I had just a bottle or two more to confirm that this is maybe just on the way down now. What a lot of pleasure this wine has delivered over the years - always a touch of sadness at the final bottle....
