Saturday, March 23, 2013 - A (Mostly) Burgundy Dinner after HDH Burgundy Auction (Naha - Chicago IL): Marey-Monge label of course. From magnum with a well depressed cork, but it had a firm seal. Fill ~5-6 cm. Served blind. Charming old Burg, but nobody in the group correctly identified this as Vosne-Romanee. Great earth aromas and flavors more prominent than the remaining black and red fruit. Modest spice. Good textures and finesse, but I found it more interesting than exciting. Held up well over the course of several hours.
